DeskProto's JWX-30 wizard makes it an easy process

The JWX30 video shows DeskProto with the Roland JWX-30: a very popular machine designed to create jewelry wax models. This wax milling machine has a unique feature: an automatic calibration process to accurately set the WorkPiece zero point (which otherwise proves to be difficult for many jewelers). Unfortunately Roland stopped making this machine in 2013.
In DeskProto a special wizard is present for this machine, which makes creating toolpaths very easy. Advantages of using DeskProto instead of the standard Roland SRP Player software are that DeskProto calculates much faster, and also that the toolpaths are much more efficient (shorter milling time).
The video shows the calibration, calculating the toolpaths, milling the wax model and some conclusions.

Rotation axis machining is possible only in the Multi-Axis edition of DeskProto. Though the video has been made with DeskProto V6, the JWX-30 wizard still is present in the current version (V7.1). Note that the current version nog longer use a 30 days trial period: you can trial as long as you like. Instead a watermark will be shown on all parts when trialling. One more change: the custom wizards now can be reached only via the File menu.
