Creating toolpaths and machining Venus de Milo (DP V7, 12.5 min)
This video has been succeeded by this Rotary tutorial for DeskProto V8.0. Please view this newer video, unless of course you are using an old version of DeskProto.
The Venus tutorial video teaches you how to create rotation axis toolpaths using DeskProto Version 7. The DeskProto session shows how the toolpaths were generated, followed by video shots of the actual machining process. It is a fast-track tutorial, for more background information view other videos: about Abraham Lincoln and Queen Nefertiti.
The Venus STL file is available for you as a FREE download: you can find it on the Free CAD files page. Some background information on this geometry can be found on the gallery page about this statue.
Rotation axis machining is possible only in the Multi-Axis edition of DeskProto.
This DeskProto video is on HD quality (1280x720 pixels).
Subtitles are available and can be switched on, in English and in Dutch.
