In November 2020 we have been informed that the DeskProto user forum is mentioned in the 'Cit0Day Breach Collection'. This is a collection of user data from more than 23,000 supposedly hacked databases. DeskProto is not mentioned, however desktop-prototyping.com is, which points to the same website. We cannot tell for sure if this collection indeed contains forum account information like email addresses and passwords. We still decided to improve the security by using a better password encryption. As a result the old passwords no longer work ! So when you first login after Nov 24 you need to use the option "Forgot your password?" in order to set a new password. This option uses an email confirmation, so only you will be able to set a password. Sorry for this inconvenience. |
