I am making a hollow ring. The outside has shape and needs to be modeled as geometry. The inside is a vertical wall, which will be much faster done as vector. Is there a way to restrict the geometry machining to the outside? |

I see how to do it now. I need two drawings. I'll draw it without the hollow center for the outside geometry carve (STL). Then I can load a DXF showing the inside cut for vector machining. |

I assume that the ring is laying flat on the machine, and that you want to skip the circular area in the center. You can also do this by setting a freeform area: when you define two nested curves as freeform area definition, the area in the inner curve will be skipped. Lex. |

Thanks, another method. I will look into it. |
