DeskProto on social media > DeskProto is present on Facebook since 2012, however the first years we have not been very active. Now we are, so follow us to be informed. Already over 1500 follows. New is that you now can recommend DeskProto on Facebook, see below. > The DeskProto channel on YouTube started in 2009, and is highly successful: so far over 400,000 views! Also check the playlist Videos by DeskProto users". > New is the DeskProto channel on Instagram, featuring both images and one-minute videos. The number of followers is growing (see below). > The DeskProto page on Google+ is no longer available as Google stopped that website. These social media pages are a great way to keep up with any DeskProto news. While this newsletter is sent only a few times a year, on social media we can post about any news immediately.

DeskProto now also on Instagram Instagram is a new medium for us, we hope it will allow us to reach more potential users. The images and short videos are nice to be viewed when you have just a moment to spare. In case you use Instagram: please follow us !  The page already has (far) over 100 followers. Check out the videos on machining a curved table leg, a Buddha statue in wood, a (flat) lithophane and more.

New: you can recommend DeskProto on Facebook! It has never been possible to give a brand page (like DeskProto) a rating on Facebook. Recently Facebook changed this: you now can give a brand a recommendation: (1) on the left side of @DeskProto select Reviews, (2) click 'Yes' to recommend DeskProto, Now write your recommendation, optionally upload a photo and/or add one or more tags, and finish by clicking 'Post'. New Service releases for DeskProto Version 7 Since the latest Newsletter email (October 2018) three Bugfix Builds (Service releases) for DeskProto Version 7 have been released. The list of fixes for each release can be seen on the Buildhistory page. Here you can also find a link to the Updater setup (which can only be used when V7 has already been installed). Download it and update your DeskProto V7 free of charge.

Latest Gallery project: scale model of the Volvo FH-16-750 truck Model Engineering from the Netherlands is a long-term DeskProto user: they started 18 years ago with DeskProto V2. Their latest project shows that they have reached the absolute top in scale models: this assembly kit for a scale 1:14 model of the Volvo F16-750 truck involved the development of 115 molds and 400 different parts. All details (both outside and inside) are very realistic, and the model can actually drive (RC model). Read more about this on the new ModelVolvo Gallery page.
