Machine a relief model of your USA hometown The latest gallery project shows how you can use DeskProto to create a detailed relief model of any area in the USA ! Digital Elevation Data is available via the USDA Geospatial Data Gateway, completely free of charge. These elevation data bitmaps can be imported in a DeskProto bitmap operation to create toolpaths. DeskProto now also in French and in Italian ! Earlier this month we have released French and Italian versions of the DeskProto software. DeskProto now is available in six languages: English, Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Trial versions are available at www.deskproto.fr >> and www.deskproto.it >> Only the program has been translated, and for French the Tutorial: the other manuals and the help file still are in English. For current users (DP V6) the translated versions are free updates.

DeskProto V6 runs OK in Windows 8 Last month Microsoft released Windows 8, and of course we have tested DeskProto on this new version of Windows. This proved to work fine, just as with the Win8 pre-release :-) See the screenshot on the DeskProto forum >>, showing the tile for DeskProto V6 in the new tiled Win 8 user interface. Older DeskProto versions will start as well, however may come with graphics issues, and may give problems when working with the libraries.

Next DeskProto bugfix build (Service Release) is ready On October 20 a next DeskProto V6 bugfix build has been released. These service releases are free for current V6 users.
