Next pictureframe video: now machine it from two sides !
As promised in the March Newsletter, a tutorial video on
two-sided machining has been added. It teaches you how to create
toolpaths using the 'Two-Sided' wizard, making a frame in wood with
a cavity for the photo on the back side. The frame is a free
geometry, that comes with every trial version.

New Sherline-to-Roland adapter for 123WaxRing
The Sherline adapter that was available for 123WaxRing proved to be
imperfect: accurately aligning and centering the adapter was too difficult.
So a new self-centering adapter has been designed (centering collar left,
countersunk surface right): now available from stock.

Lower prices for 123WaxRing
The number of sales for the 123WaxRing system has made it possible to
reduce the price for 123WaxRing. The price for a
complete kit has been reduced from EUR 395 to EUR 295.00, and also
the new Sherline adapter (see above) is cheaper than the previous one.

DP-made dinosaur footprint: latest Gallery project.
The latest addition to the DeskProto Gallery shows an amazing project:
160 million year old footprints are recreated using
DeskProto. Fossilized footprints have been scanned using the free
123D Catch service, and from the resulting STL file
toolpaths have been generated to machine a replica.
