New DpPictureFrame.stl sample geometry Not only the software is new, the free sample files that come with DeskProto have been updated too. A very nice sample is the DpPictureFrame geometry: an ornamented photo frame that has been modelled for DeskProto users and is present in every trial download. Machine a frame in wood, to make a special gift... The geometry is used in Lesson 1 of the new V6 Tutorial >>, a training video will follow next year.

Great five-axis Gallery project, including video The latest gallery project has been created using a Version 6 Beta build. It shows the creation of a classic car model: the Austin Healey Sprite (1960), nicknamed Frogeye. Special is the use of Five-Axis machining, to reach areas that otherwise could not have been machined. The page includes a cool video to show the five-axis machine while making this model in wood.
