DeskProto updater logo New Service Release (bugfix build) for DeskProto V 5.0
Since the last bugfix build again a number of new bugs has been reported (thanks for your input) and fixed. So it was time for new build, which has been made available on Aug 22.
Users of a DeskProto V5.0 Full license can use the Updater to install the new version, users of DeskProto V5.0 Lite can just install a fresh Lite trial version, as that will recognize their current license information. These bugfix upgrades are free of charge.
A list of the improvements and a link to the Updater can be found on the DeskProto Build history page >>

3D Printing Event logo Visit us at the 3D Printing Event
3D printing is hot !  Many new initiatives stimulate the home use of 3D CAD: free 3D CAD software like Google SketchUp and Autodesk 123D, FabLabs, lowcost 3D printers. All targeting the "Maker generation". Hobby use of CNC machining is a great addition, as a CNC machine can achieve so much more than a 3D printer...
This is why we present the DeskProto hobby license at this event. The event's theme is "3D printing at home", combining a seminar and an exhibition. Location Eindhoven (the Netherlands), on Oct 25, 2011.

Gallery picture New jewelry video on DeskProto website
This instruction video shows how DeskProto can be used with the Roland JWX-30 wax-milling machine, to easily create jewelry wax models. In DeskProto a special JWX-30 wizard is present that fine-tunes the toolpaths for this machine. So you can start cutting immediately. You will soon find DeskProto to be much faster than the software that came with the machine.
View this new video, and learn about easy wax machining >>

Try for yourself and download the DeskProto trial version from our website.
To get started you can use the tutorials (both video and PDF) and the sample geometries.
This is all possible completely free of charge !

Best Regards,

Lex Lennings.
