DeskProto Version 6.1 has been released.
After four months of beta testing DeskProto V 6.1 has been released !
Beta testers were very happy with the new Offset
strategy. Other new features include Toolpath
optimization and generating a freeform segment round the
geometry. See

Version 6.1 is a Free update
for registered V6.0 users: download a V6.1 trial
version (some translations not yet available) and unlock it
with your V6.0 Name/Code combination. For users of previous
versions a Discounted upgrade offer is available,
until Jan 15, 2014. Upgrade to allow using Win7 and Win8, to quit
using the dongle and to benefit from all exciting new features !

CAD-integration 1: complete automation in Rhino.
For some applications it is nice to completely hide the
DeskProto user-interface, allowing any untrained user to generate
flawless toolpaths. DeskProto allows such complete automation, using
it's default parameters. In Rhino you can
add one button to execute this complete process. When
manufacturing series of a product with minor variations
this can save you lots of time !

CAD-integration 2: start DeskProto from MoI.
MoI stands for Moment of Inspiration, a relatively new 3D CAD program. We have
heard positive comments, have been asked about starting DeskProto
from MoI, and have found that it is easy to add a
DeskProto button to MoI. We published our findings on the

Gallery: Tunisian children customize racing tricycle.
Lycée Gustave Flaubert in La Marsa, Tunisia, each year organizes the
Green Machine Challenge: 11 and 12 year old
students race on customized tricycles. Customization is done in
Technology class, using SolidWorks, DeskProto and a CNC milling
