Fix for bug after the 2017-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 The May cumulative update for Win10, released on May 9, caused a new serious bug in DeskProto: the program simply refused to start. From May 10 error reports started pouring in, and we started working on a bugfix version. That became available the same week: running a fresh Updater Setup will fix the problem. DeskProto Version 7 developments The various problems with Windows 10 were related to the trial period protection software. That needs to "hide" information on the PC, and Windows 10 does not like that. In DeskProto V7 we plan to discard the trial period and instead apply a "watermark" when trialling: no need to hide information. About DeskProto V7: we never give expected release dates, all we can say now is that we hope to start beta testing before the end of this year.'

Gallery: the Dutch violin goes Open Source ! The gallery page on this special violin has been published in 2015. The project not 'just' shows how to create a violin using a CNC milling machine, it also shows how a violin works and shares ideas about a new violin to meet the needs of modern players. The exciting news is that this violin design now is available for download as Open Source project (collection of STL files).
